On the occasion of my last day in action in an OpenText office let me commemorate a most special moment in my career. Peter & Peter at  OpenText Enterprise World 2019  in Toronto. The lyrics of the song  " Fourteen Black Paintings " by  Peter Gabriel  have a deep meaning for me: They connect my iXOS tenure (1996 - 2001) with my OpenText tenure (2003 - 2024), and they express my hope for a changed world where we all can live together in peace. Competence in Compensating for Incompetence Aus dem Sportteil des Münchner Merkur vom 20.11.2024: Ex-Mentalcoach der Löwen Böswald:  „Bei 1860 herrscht Schwarm-Inkompetenz“ Dort hält sich jeder für hochkompetent, dabei ist das Gegenteil der Fall.   Es gibt ein tolles Wort dafür, das der Philosoph Odo Marquard kreiert hat:  Inkompetenz-Kompensationskompetenz . Marquard meint damit:  Die Fähigkeit, die eigene Unfähigkeit zu vertuschen und mit Pseudokompetenz zu kaschieren.  Die Amerikaner sagen dazu: Fake it till you make it. Auf gut Deutsch: Täusche etwas vor, und wenn sich Erfolg einstellt, kannst du behaupten, es lag an dir.  Das Dumme ist nur: Am Ende setzt sich immer die Inkompetenz durch. ... Schein statt Sein ! Diese Beobachtung könnte auch im Politikteil erschienen sein.
